The Lord's Supper
Galatians 3:1-14
”You foolish Galatians! Who put a spell on you? Before your very eyes you had a clear picture of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross! Tell me this one thing: did you receive God’s Spirit by doing what the Law requires or by hearing the gospel and believing it? How can you be so foolish! You began by God's Spirit; do you now want to finish by your own power? Did all your experience mean nothing at all? Surely it meant something! Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you because you do what the Law requires and because you hear the Gospel and believe it? Consider the experience of Abraham; as the scripture says, “He believed God, and because of his faith God accepted him as righteous”. You should realize that the real descendants of Abraham are the people who have faith. The scripture predicted that God would put the Gentiles right with Himself through faith. And so the scripture announced the Good News to Abraham: “Through you God will send all mankind. Abraham believed and was blessed; so all who believe are blessed as he was.
What prevents God from doing His work in our life?
Acts17:1-13 (Paul’s preaching in the synagogue in Thessalonica, the Judeans rebelled against Paul and Silas, visiting Vern, many people believed) When any person comes to God, he learns that God has chosen his vessel to reveal His glory through him. But it doesn’t always happen, as there are some obstacles (from our side). Our actions can be compared with the behavior of Paul. Paul was sent to Macedonia by the Holy Spirit. And God wanted to open and reveal His power in that place very much. The Holy Spirit leads Paul, He tells him not to stop living in the Asian synagogues, but to move to the gentiles. And nevertheless, as the scripture says, he continues to walk about the Judean synagogues – he went to the place God told him not to go. Why?
“First –thoughts, then –actions!”
Many problems come into our lives not because God has planned them for us; they do come because of us ourselves and the Bible says about it- Romans 8:5-9 “For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile towards Gods;for does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so; and those who are in flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he doesn’t belong to Him”.
Direct your faith to the right stream!
No doubt, every pastor and every minister are interested in the growth of Church. We study some principles, ways of building, but the best source to see how Church grows should be found in the Bible.
Acts.16:5-31 verse 5. “So the churches were being strengthened in the faith, and were increased in number daily”.
